Park City Mountain-Modern Kitchen Remodel
Park City, UT · 2025
When this Park City family bought their 1990s mountain home, the kitchen still had the original dark oak cabinets, chipped laminate counters and a rusted fridge tucked into a tight U-shape that closed the room off from the living area. We took the kitchen down to the studs, removed the wall separating it from the great room, and rebuilt it as a bright, open mountain-modern hub. Custom white shaker cabinets pair with a knotty alder island and brass hardware. A 10-foot quartz waterfall island anchors the room, framed by three brass dome pendants and a herringbone marble backsplash that climbs to a custom wood range hood. Wide-plank European oak floors run continuously into the living area, and a new picture window pulls in views of the Wasatch back. The result is a kitchen that finally matches the mountain — and the way this family actually entertains.
